They are in fact a very gentle species and show no aggression at all. The worst I have suffered from them is musking, the males are the worst, and believe you me it reeks.

They are arboreal snakes, and my 3 spend most of their time in one big cluster. They are the only snakes I don't separate to feed, I put ...

Hi

I have been thinking about how best to pair up our corns this year , some are obvious some are not.

That reminded me how difficult it had been to sell hatchlings this year , maybe some pairings are not worth it this year , the year off wont do the females any harm anyway.

So what about exchanging hatchlings instead of selling.

It would be a chance to get morphs you dont have or just add new blood to those you have.

This year I hope to have

A little wanderer has been returned to me today.

Hatched in May 08 and escaped her tub in September, this little girl was found this morning by my next door neighbour in his garage. Although freezing cold, she has grown and looks fine. She's had a big drink and a warm in my hands and is now back in the rack with her brothers and sisters and she'll get a feed tonight.

It's amazing that she has survived all the freezing temps we've had recently.

Ok4

I have decided to call her Sif as she was the wife of Thor, the name of my male White Oak.

I don't know her age but she must be almost 6' and is absolutely gorgeous.

Remove the beetles and add to another tub. This should also have oats on the bottom as substrate. Add an eggshell carton to the tub, this is for the beetles to ...

Many people aren't sure exactly what is needed. I thought I'd just write a quick post to list the equipment needed for a corn snake

Vivarium- around 3ft for a fully grown corn

Heat source- heat-map or lamp

Thermostat

Water dish

Substrate, e.g. kitchen roll, newspaper or bark

2 hides, one for the cool end, one for the hot end

Artificial plants/ decorations.

2 Digital thermometers, one for hot end one for cool end

Feel free to add if you can think of anything else.

We use:

Oats as substrate

A handful of branflakes
